A BACKHANDED TRIBUTE TO "REV" FLOWERS, NOW DEPARTED FROM THE COOPERATIVE BANK

An updated version of Roy Wood’s “Flowers in the Rain”. So for all you hippies and children of the 60s, here it is, a tribute to the Cooperative Bank’s ex-Chairman and now suspended Methodist Minister, the exRev Flowers. Sing along now…..

FLOWERS DOWN THE DRAIN

Turned up most mornings half asleep
Cooperative Banking in a heap
Where Labour Red Rose cronies all abound
The time was fast approaching
When they couldn’t hide it anymore
The corrupt immoral Chairman’s going down

*We’re all watching Flowers going down the drain
The Crystal Meth in his veins making his ego grow
We’re watching Ketamine addling his brain
A nose full of cocaine while he’s in the nude

Pretending God was on his side
A rent boy on hand for the ride
They couldn’t stop the media from speaking
Hoping if they clustered round
The drug fuelled Chairman that they found
They’d stop the sordid episode from reeking

*We’re all watching Flowers going down the drain
The Crystal Meth in his veins making his ego grow
We’re watching Ketamine addling his brain
A nose full of cocaine while he’s in the nude

The Labour Party’d like to stop the fuss
To keep the truth from reaching us
The corrupt left-wing mindset
Has for once completely missed the bus

We’ve heard that Flowers likes his treats
Buying drugs and favours on the streets
The Co-op board are trying to divert us
By blaming everyone else instead
With Labour millions in the red
The hypocrites wrongly think they can ignore us

*We’re all watching Flowers going down the drain
The Crystal Meth in his veins making his ego grow
We’re watching Ketamine addling his brain
A nose full of cocaine while he’s in the nude

Flowers going down the drain
Flowers addled brain
Power Flowers down the drain
Flowers’ power down the drain
(fade out)
